Before the flood mankind would have continued to grow similar to the animals and insects. 

Discoveries of skeletons ranging from 24-36 feet tall have been unearthed 

Amos 2:9, and that means that Gen. 6:got a lot bigger than that, 

Now

The tallest person in this last century was Robert Wadlow who had a 37 shoe and stood at 8 '11.25". He died in 1940. The tallest man that is still living is 8’7” and lives in Ukraine

Roman Emperor Maximinus was 8’6”

Skeleton of a man in a mine in Italy was 11’6”

1970’s in Virginia City NV, Charles Hankley found 2 skeletons that were 9 feet tall.

In Shreveport, LA J.M.Clay found evidence of 20 skeletons fully intact that were all 9 feet or taller in 1902.

On June 19 1931 Humbolt, Lake NV they found skeletons over 10 feet tall.

In 1925 in South Bend IN, a group of archeologists opened a mound and discovered 8 giants ranging from 8 - 9 feet tall still wearing heavy copper armor.

A man in Turkey, Ararat believes that he found the grave of Noah, the skeleton was 12 feet tall. Again when we read about the cubits, that would change the length of their cubits. 

Noah found favor. Why?  

He walks with God.

Vs. 8 Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord. 

He is a wicked man who is righteous by faith.

Psalm 37:39 - This reveals or indicates that the LORD justifies His salvation by means of His own righteousness.

When one loves, the behavior always changes, and in relationship to God, this love always turns to glorify God.

Lessons from the flood

Shows the extent God will go to bring about holiness. 

 Wipe out the human race if necessary  

Proves that God will sacrifice everything else for holiness.  

Despite what you and I may think about what God’s goal is for your life, it’s not to make you and I happy, successful, or comfortable. 

The ultimate goal for a Christian is to be like Christ. 

 Reveals that God is a judge who makes distinctions. 

 Distinctions between clean and unclean animals

Distinctions between Noah and his entire generation  

Sets a pattern of provision and warning for the recipients of grace  

Starts a new life of worship in a new covenant  

Exhibits God’s deadly anger over sin  

Two events demonstrated God’s commitment to holiness and showed his commitment to bless the whole human race.  

The Flood  

Remembered by people worldwide, but the reason for the flood is forgotten. 

The Cross  

Forgotten by people worldwide 

If God will slaughter His own son to make you like Christ what will He withhold from you to make you like Christ. You can choose to engage in risk, but you don’t have the choice of how much risk you're going to face when you choose to undertake it.
